Bath Blends RecipesThere is nothing like a good relaxing bath to make you forget the day’s troubles and put you in a wonderful mood. Here are some bath recipes for that nice relaxing bath you need and deserve.

Energizing bath with herbs

– 125 g of verbena
– 125 g mint
– 125 g of rosemary
– 125 g of wild thyme (by herbalists).

Mix these herbs and immerse them in four quarts of boiling water. Let steep for fifteen minutes, strain and pour in water to a hot bath. You can then inhale the vapor into your lungs, thus invigorating them with this infusion.

Bath time: twenty minutes. Beyond that, your body is toned but not your skin.

Dieter’s Bath

Mix together:

2 parts Rosemary
2 parts Fennel
1 part Lavender
1 pinch Kelp

Moisturizing Honey bath

– 350 g of honey
– 200 g of sea salt
– 100 g of sodium bicarbonate
– 3 liters of whole milk (and organic)
– 4 tablespoons of sweet almond oil
– 7 drops of lemon essential oil (invigorating and revitalizing)

Pour in the hot tub three liters of boiling milk, honey (diluted with a little hot water), sweet almond oil, sea salt, baking soda and finally drops of lemon essential oil ( diluted in a little hot water or sweet almond oil). The emollient properties of sea salt and lemon essential oil combined with the nourishing properties of milk and honey bath make this a moment of pure pleasure as well as a complete treatment for the skin.

Energy Bath

Mix together:

3 parts Carnation
2 parts Lavender
2 parts Rosemary
2 parts Basil

Healing Bath

Mix together:

3 parts Rosemary
2 parts Lavender
2 parts Rose petals
1 part Peppermint
1 part Cinnamon

Rose Love Bath

– 125 ml of rose water
– 1 tablespoon sweet almond oil
– 7 drops of rose essential oil
– 75 g of untreated rose petals (select varieties of fragrant roses)

If the rose essential oil is known for its medicinal properties (it is purifying and anti-haemorrhagic), it is also valued for its anti-stress properties. It lowers blood nerves and prepares them to sleep. In a flask, mix rose water and sweet almond oil, add the rose essential oil drop by drop, then pour the preparation under running bath. For even more refinement, before you slip into the water, add the dried rose petals. Remember to keep some in bowls, they will freshen up your bathroom all year.
