Game Day Party Ideas

What Are You Going to Eat?

Perhaps the most important question for a game day party. You want to have a nice spread so that everyone has something that they can enjoy. If you don’t, you risk having someone go unsatisfied or the kids complaining during the entire game.

Party Dips

Luckily for you, Kraft has a lot of great ideas for party dips. We recommend trying the 7 Layer Dip. It’s Mexican themed dip that most everyone will love and it goes great with other dip ideas and snack foods. Think refried beans, sour cream, cheese and salsa. There is a lot going on with this dip that you are going to enjoy. You can also get creative by making your own tortilla chips at home to put a wholesome, homemade spin on it.

Finger Foods

Once you have the dips covered, you want to move on the entree style finger foods. It’s great to have finger foods because no one ends up being stuck choosing between cheeseburgers, pizza or tacos. This will allow everyone to taste everything while keeping the waste down.

Finger foods are also a great idea when you have kids. You can choose to make something like mini-hamburgers and let the kids decide if they want cheese, tomato, pickles or ketchup and mustard. You can leave them to create their own by laying out all of the food separately or you can help them if you want to keep control of the mess being made!

Desserts

Also, don’t forget about having bite-sized desserts available. Mini-cheesecake bites are easy and so are miniature brownies and cookies. Don’t be afraid to get creative or get the kids involved with baking and decorating.

Drinks

Once you have the food covered that just leaves a few more things for you to get done. If your friends and family like to have beer on game day, you might consider ordering a keg this year. Or, if you have a more sophisticated palate, you might have several bottles of something from the local brewery. Whatever you decide, just make sure you have something for everyone.

The key to having a great party to really is to make sure that you have satisfied everyone in some way. Usually, kids and adults are easy to please, especially when the game is on. They just need food, something to drink and a comfortable place to sit.

Good luck with your ultimate party planning.
