Festive Wedding Centerpieces

An air of festivity can be created with centerpieces such as balloons, candy, or party favors. Many companies sell Festive party favors that are filled with goodies but you can make them yourself for much less.

Try making “Christmas crackers” and filling a large clear glass bowl with them. (do a search online for instructions on how to make Christmas crackers).

How about using cone shaped Styrofoam and your favorite candy to create more edible centerpieces. Simply attach the candies to the foam and surround them with ivy or other greenery.

Use helium balloons to create fun centerpieces. Use metallic curling ribbon and adjust the length of the ribbons so they float about 18-24” above the table. Make sure to curl the ribbons, adding extra if you like. Use cellophane to create a “weight” for the balloons, by cutting out a large square from clear cellophane, and filling with candies or colored salt, then tie the bunch to the weight. Use colored cellophane and fill with plain sand if you prefer. Make sure the balloons are secured well. Try using one balloon at each place setting instead of a bunch in the center, and filling each weight with candy. Then your balloon becomes a favor.
