Life’s a Beach: 4 Best Cities to Live for Beach Lovers

Do you enjoy surfing, soaking in the sun, or just playing with your kids in the sand at the beach? You’ll have more opportunities to do this if you live close to the water. Take a look at these four best places to live in the United States to live if you love the beach. We chose the least crowded, but most clean and fun.

Kamuela, Hawaii

Tourists flock to Hawaii to enjoy the beaches, so imagine how nice it would be to live close enough to go every day. Kamuela is on the big island and it offers three miles of beaches in Hapuna Beach State Park. You can enjoy the white sand and turquoise water for hours. There is a cove on the southern end of Hapuna Beach State Park that is made out of black volcanic rock. Your kids will have a lot of fun spotting little fish everywhere. Plus, when you’re done at the beach, you’re close to lots of Polynesian Hulas to grab a bite to eat and have some fun.

Coronado, California

Coronado isn’t far from San Diego, which means you are close to lots of fun attractions and some of the best places to live in the country, but you have a little more privacy on the beach. There are five main beaches in Coronado and all of them have lifeguards except one (South Beach). This means you can take your family out for fun without too much worry. Central Beach is the most popular because it is closest to the heart of town and you can walk to restaurants and shops. However, Silver Strand State Beach is better if you’re looking for a more serene beach experience.

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

With more than 12 miles of white-sand beaches, Hilton Head Island has plenty of uncrowded sun and sand to spend your time. Two of the best choices are Islanders Beach and Driessen Beach because they have picnic areas and playgrounds. However, all of the beaches feature sea creature spottings, fun sand, and awesome views of the Atlantic Ocean. You can also enjoy the beaches while taking in a good meal at one of the many restaurants on the beach that offer that Southern Charm you love about South Carolina.

Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Portsmouth is a historic beach town that is calm and well preserved. You can walk along the water and see all sorts of Cape Cod architecture. The water is calm and the beaches are serene. It’s what people think about when you say, “Take a romantic walk on the beach.” There are also lots of beaches surrounding Portsmouth in Rye and North Hampton.
