Dynamic Energy – Oprah & Deepak Meditation Challenge Day 12

Day  12 of the Miraculous Relationships Meditation Challenge hosted by Oprah and Deepak Chopra reminded us of how we  are all connected to each other. Each one of us radiates energy or ‘vibe’ when we are in the presence of others. By choosing to send out positive vibes, we can heal and transform others.

Exploring our Energy

We have all studied Einstein’s theory about energy in school.

Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another.” – Albert Einstein

It holds true spiritually as well. At the deepest level, we are all powerful energetic beings. Within us, we possess the ability to shift the world around us with our presence and by choosing how we project ourselves.

When we walk into a room, our energy radiates through us. Without speaking, we communicate our state of mind. Our state of being is communicated to others. Whether we are in a state of happiness or resentment, others are able to sense it just like we can sense when someone gives out positive or negative vibes. Whether we feel good, happy, resentful, edgy, sad or preoccupied, it shows and affects others in the room.

Using our Energy

Our capacity to affect others with our energy is both a gift and a responsibility. Ultimately, we have the power to choose how we show up and interact in this world. But putting on a persona of false happiness does nor help this situation. Our awareness of our capabilities to enlighten and transform through our light and energy, our consciousness of our true loving spirit and the contentment on bring loved should forever be in our minds. The knowledge of our true self will help us give out positive and loving vibes that will open others to us. This in turn will help build deep and rich relationships. The centering thought for the day helps us focus on this resolve:

I use my energy to heal and transform.

Make a change now

The lesson urges us to make a change in our lives by paying attention to your energetic state. Take time to focus your awareness on how your state of being may be affecting other people. Being aware is half the battle won. If you notice that you’re feeling prickly, irritable etc., take a few moments to breathe deeply into your heart, sending yourself love and compassion.

Meditation

Today’s Sanskrit mantra was a new one to me: Om Ritam Namah which means “my intentions and desires are in alignment with and supported by the rhythm of the universe”. Today’s message of communicating with our energy had a very calming effect on me. As a result, the meditation was easier. My thoughts do continue to run away in all directions, but I have learned to quickly become aware when this happens, and drag them back to place. I hope this practice gives me good results in future and is the right way to train myself to meditate.
