Wedding Planning 101
The Art of Eloping
Getting married isn't always a process that's all smooth
sailing. You can never prepare for everything that might create a
challenge in your wedding and both of you are bound to discover the
compromises you're willing to make.
However, there are some people who choose not to even go the big
wedding route. How romantic the thought of spiriting away with the
love of your life to a remote location to get married! Though there
are some that end up having a "real" wedding sometime later, which
brings us to one of many dilemmas with eloping. It might be
fabulous to you, but not so much with your family and friends. In
past years, couples usually eloped because the parents didn't
approve of the marriage, but that wasn't going to stop them. And of
course, when the couple returned, it wasn't exactly easy times.
Handling your eloping is decidedly up to the both of you, of
course they'll be pros and cons to think of. For instance, eloping
can save you major money. Saving money by only spending it on the
two of you can give you a huge break, because you can stay at the
best hotels longer, feast like kings and queens and enjoy the
beginning of your new life together. And of course, you'll also
have money enough to throw a big reception, if you wanted to, to
include the people who weren't able to be there for your big day.
Although taking lots of pictures and/or video to show everyone when
you return is a great idea too!
