‘Strawberries for Sweetheart’ Flower Arrangement, Valentine’s Day Flower Arrangements

Strawberries have always been associated with romantic cooking. But there’s more to strawberries than just cooking. The red color and heart shape make them perfect ‘main course’ for a delicious romantic flower arrangement as well. Bright, juicy strawberries take the centre stage in this unique Valentine’s Day creation arranged in a vintage teacup as pretty as the strawberries themselves.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Tiny as the cute strawberries themselves are, the container for this arrangement had to be a small one. A china teacup perched on a saucer seemed best suited for the purpose.

2. Use cocktail sticks to give strawberries an ‘artificial stem’.

3. Place a piece of floral foam in the teacup. The foam should be as wide as the inside of the cup and should be only a inch lesser than the height of the cup.

4. Start by filling up the cup with fillers, fresh or artificial. Artificial grass has been used here. Fix all the stems into the floral foam.

5. Finish by randomly fixing five strawberries (on cocktail sticks) into the foam amidst the greenery.

Note: This arrangement does not have any definite shape. The strawberries are made to look just like wild flowers pop their heads from among other foliage. Another alternative to completely replacing flowers with strawberries is to use strawberries along with some flowers.
