Leprechaun Hats Decorative Accents - DIY St. Patrick's Day Decorating Idea

What you will need:

  • black and green construction paper

  • shamrock die-cuts (cutouts)

  • green filler (saved from gift baskets etc.)

  • a berry basket

Directions:

1. Make the Leprechaun hat first. Cut out a rectangle from the black construction paper and roll it to form the hat, gluing the ends. You will need black circles for the top and bottom of the hat. Place the drum-shaped hat upright on construction paper and mark an exact circle around the base. Cut it out and cut another circle larger than this one. Glue the smaller circle (the one that fits the base) on one side and the large on the other side.

2. Glue a strip of green paper around the base of the hat, just before the larger circle and add a shamrock cutout to it.

3. Glue some shamrock cutouts to the edge of the basket.

4. Fill the basket with the green paper shredding filler and place the hat on it.
