Interesting Ideas for Curtain Tiebacks – Window Decorating Ideas

Tiebacks don’t have to just be made out of tassels, rope or material that is the same as the curtain. Here are some fun ideas to add a little drama to your curtains:

• Use jewelry such as a long strand of beads, a pretty pin, or dangly earrings as a decoration on the tiebacks.

• Tie ribbon in coordinating colors to a thick piece of wire. Let the ribbon hang down in uneven pieces and wrap the wire around the curtain.

• Use garland, a Hawaiian lei or a flower swag as a tieback.

• Use a bandana or other fun printed fabric.

• Braid three different colored ribbon pieces long enough that you can tie it and let the braid hang down.

• Men’s ties also work great as a tieback.

• Ornate iron wall candleholders turned sideways and attached to the wall also work well to hold back curtains.
