Common Forms Of Curtain Arrangements

Ring Top

These treatments are among the most popular. Panels hung from rings and can be hand drawn to open or close. Headings are usually pinch-pleated. Rings may be sewn on or attached drapery hooks.

Pole Top

These treatments are also very popular.

Specialty Treatments

These treatments are a bit more creative, but can be easily done with rods shown in this section.

Bay Windows

Headings are shirred (pocketed). Treatment does not draw.

Tabbed curtains

Rods are slipped through fabric loops; take the place of rings. (Panels are difficult to draw.)

Stationary side panels

May use pole-top or ring-top panels. Use elbow returns on outside ends of poles. Use finials in center.

Draped scarves

Fabric may be draped over wood poles in unique scarf treatments to frame window.

Layered Treatments

Wood poles sets are mounted separately over conventional traverse rods or curtain rods.

Use one or two panels for each tier, as many tiers as desired. For bottom tier, use an outside mount. For inside, use wood pole with sockets.

Panels with rings can be used on wood poles over traverse rods or curtain rods.

Scarves tied between rings or tabs create a unique valance look. Treatment does not draw.
