Decorate Your Lawn for Christmas

Don't forget your lawn when decorating your home for Christmas. You can dazzle guests right at the doorstep by decorating your outdoor spaces.

1. Light Displays

Choose an animated light display to go with your theme. Santa's sleigh, Snowmen, Tin man soldiers etc. are very popular.

2. Use Lights

Light up your lawn by taking a plain string of white lights over all the trees and shrubs in your garden. You could also consider adding luminarias.

3. Bows

Tie bright red bows on special shrubs or some of the bare branches of the trees. Large bows also look good on the garden gates and lamp posts, if any.

4. Garden Figurines

Dress up existing garden figurines. Fill the birdbath with any extra baubles that you might have. Add a touch of evergreens or red ribbons or even Santa hats (for some fun) to other figurines.

5. Use Wreaths

Wreaths are not just for doors. Use wreaths on bare outdoor walls. Roll up your garden hose to make a thick wreath and hang it over the tap. Finish with a big red bow!
