SPICY APPLE JAM
Ingredients:
1 kg apples
1 kg sugar
2 tsp citric acid
1/4 tsp. apple extract
1/2 tsp. peppercorns (crushed)
1 tsp. cumin seeds (roasted)
1/4 tsp. red chilli powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Method:
1. To obtain pulp, put ripe apples in hot water for
about 4-5 minutes.
2. Extract pulp through sieve.
3. Cook the pulp in a pan and add sugar. Stir until
it becomes thick and starts splitting.
4. Add peppercorns, cumin seeds, salt and red
chilli powder.
5. Add citric acid and extract.
6. Dry-heat a bottle and fill with hot jam.
7. Overturn for a couple of minutes and allow to
set for a few hours.
