Serve in Hollowed Out Oranges

The hollowed orange ‘bowl’ makes for an impressive presentation, adding to the burst of colors, making these ‘cups’ a healthy dessert for any girlfriends’ party.

Serves: 4

What you will need:

  1. 4 Oranges
  2. 2 Pomegranates
  3. 1 Cup Strawberries
  4. Seasonings – salt, pepper
  5. Optional – Cheese or Castor Sugar
  6. To Garnish – Sprigs of Mint or Orange Zest

How to:

1. Cut one-third or a bigger half off the whole oranges with a sharp knife and use a scoop to get the orange slices out.

2. Skin the slices and chop them reserving all the juice obtained in the process.

3. Wash and chop strawberries and gather seeds from the pomegranate.

4. Mix the orange segments, strawberries and pomegranate seeds together and squeeze the orange juice over it.

5. Season with salt and pepper or any other favorite seasonings. We love ‘Chaat Masala’.

6. Fill up the orange ‘bowls’ to the brim and serve garnished with mint sprigs and/or orange zest.

For a Party Dessert: You could add grated cheese OR castor sugar to improve the taste and them party-worthy.
