Kitchen/Cooking Themed Bridal Shower

Invitations:

Write party information on a recipe card. Be sure to remind guests to bring gifts related to the kitchen. Put an extra blank recipe card in with the invitation and ask guests to write down their favorite recipe.

Decorations:

Create centerpieces by putting kitchen utensils in vases with some flowers. Place different kinds of cookbooks upright on the tables. They can easily double and prizes for winners of the games. See image for how-to. Instead of place cards write each persons name on an apron and tie it to the back of a chair.

Put white food substances in jars and number them. Some suggestions are: flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, powdered milk, and instant vanilla pudding packages. Give each guest a piece of paper and pencil and have them try to guess what each one is. The person who gets the most right wins a prize.

Food

Of course food would be the main attraction of a kitchen themed bridal shower. Have the ingredients for a few simple recipes ready. Let guests divide into groups and make the recipes. It will give everyone time to talk and have fun, then you can eat it when it is done.
