Unique Ideas for Baby Shower Centerpieces
While planning a baby shower should be lots of fun, it
can be time consuming and difficult as well. For many of
us party planners, the hardest part of pulling off a
successful baby shower is finding the perfect centerpiece
for the gift table. It is important to have a centerpiece
that truly captures the spirit of the occasion, and one
that is pleasing to both the invited guests and the guest
of honor.
There are of course as many ideas for baby shower
centerpieces as there are planners of baby showers, but
these are some of my all time favorites:
The Bassinet – Fill a bassinet, or a baby carrier,
with all those little things new parents always need.
These necessities include things like wash cloths, baby
wipes, baby oil and of course lots of diapers.
The Wreath of Diapers – Speaking of diapers, one
of the most unique and memorable baby shower centerpiece
is the diaper wreath. Make a wreath completely out of
diapers, in a variety of sizes, and add some rattles,
toys and other baby items to complete the look.
The Baby Tub – The baby tub is similar to the
bassinet idea, but it uses a baby tub in place of the
bassinet or baby carrier. Fill the baby tub with rubber
duckies, baby wash, baby oil, wash cloths, shampoo,
conditioner and other essentials.
The Money Tree – If there’s one thing every new
parent needs, it’s money. Why not create a money tree to
get the new baby off to a flying start? The money tree
can be further decorated with baby toys, rattles and
other fun items.
The Rocking Horse – Every child loves a rocking
horse, and decorating an appropriately sized rocking
horse with fun baby items can provide the perfect
centerpiece for a baby shower with a cowboy or western
theme.
