New Baby Feet Gift Basket
 This
adorable basket is a great gift for a baby shower or new
arrival gift. What you will need to create the gift:
Felt in pink, white, blue or some other pastel color
Scissors
Printed Template (found below)
Thread to match the color felt you chose
Sewing needle
Straight Pins
Basket
Tissue Paper
Small baby foot related items such as: little pairs of
socks, baby toenail clippers, nail file, some small soaps
gentle enough for baby, some feet rattles and the Foot
Book by Dr. Seuss
To create the booties, cut out the template and use the
straight pins to attach it to the felt. Cut out the felt
around the template. Use a simple straight stitch to hand
sew the booties together. The edges of the felt should
match up. There will be some buckling in the but when you
complete the bootie it will be fine. Turn the bootie
inside out and decorate it with rickrack or other small
items. Attach a button on one of the straps to that it
will stay on baby's foot.
To create the gift basket, put tissue paper in the bottom
then place the booties in the center. Put the other items
around the booties with the book in the back. Attach a
small card with a footprint on it to the basket.
