Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Ingredients:

200 grams (.45 lb) semi-sweet chocolate 1/2 cup water 5 eggs (separated) 1 tsp. instant coffee (if desired. vanilla flavoring (extract or powder) 2 tbsp. conf. sugar.

Directions:

Melt the chocolate in a pan, over low heat, with a few tbsp. of water. Beat the egg yolks and add them to the chocolate with the instant coffee. Beat the egg whites with the conf. sugar until thick, and then beat a few minutes more. Add the beaten egg whites to the melted chocolate and slowly mix it in.

Fill the mousse in individual glasses or bowls for each member or guest and chill overnight. Garnish with whipped cream and a sprig of mint leaves. To make things more interesting, dip the rim of the glass in chocolate shavings.
