Pink Rosettes Wedding Cupcake

Pink Rosettes Cupcakes for WeddingsPerfect for a Wedding or a Garden party, three romantic rosettes decorate this pretty cupcake.

Ingredients:

For the Cupcakes

1/2 cup soft butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. rose water or rose essence
1 egg
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

For Decorating

Whipped Cream, sweetened
Green and Pink (or other desired) Food Colors
Pink Sprinkles
Small Open Star Icing Tip
Ruffle or Leaf Icing Tip

Makes: 16 cupcakes

Directions:

1. Combine together and beat butter, sugar and rose seence until creamy and then beat in the egg.

2. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt and stir into the butter mixture.

3. Spoon by rounded tablespoon (one to a cup) into paper lined 2 inch cupcake cups.

4. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.

5. Mix a few drops of pink food color to make light pink frosting for the base of the cupcake. Spread it on the cupcake.

6. Add some more pink color to make a darker shade of pink. Using an open star tip, make three little roses using a darker pink shade of frosting on one side of the cupcake.

7. Now make the leaves using green colored whipped cream. We have used a ruffle tip but you may also use one of the several leaf decorating tips available. For using the ruffle tip, pipe out frosting, lift it up slightly pulling away from where you started and drop down.

7. A few pink sprinkles over the roses will complete your cupcake.

Note: If you are a beginner, it will help to try making the roses on a plate first and then on to your cupcake.
