Pink Pearls Wedding Cupcake

Large edible pearls over a simple pink base make this cupcake an easy yet elegant choice for Wedding cupcakes.

Pink Pearls Wedding CupcakeIngredients:

For the Cupcakes

1/2 cup soft butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. rose water or rose essence
1 egg
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

For Decorating

Whipped Cream, sweetened
Pink (or other desired) Food Colors
6 mm edible pearls for decorating

Makes: 16 cupcakes

Directions:

1. Combine together and beat butter, sugar and essence until creamy and then beat in the egg.

2. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt and stir into the butter mixture.

3. Spoon by rounded tablespoon (one to a cup) into paper lined 2 inch cupcake cups.

4. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.

5. Mix a few drops of pink food color to make light pink frosting for the base of the cupcake. Spread it on the cupcake.

6. Decorate with large 6 mm or other desired pearls slightly pressing them into the frosting.

Note: You can make these with any pastel color matching your wedding or party colors. For weddings, a plain white whipped cream frosting with white pearls makes for stunning cupcakes.
