Why Everyone Should Enjoy Tea on a Daily Basis

When I wake up in the morning, I don’t reach for the coffee container. I know what you’re thinking: I must be mad. On the contrary, I’m quite sane, and think that I have in fact solved one of life’s great mysteries: how to stay young and healthy forever! Ok, I may be exaggerating a little: I just like to drink a lot of tea. In fact, I think that tea should be enjoyed by everybody on a daily basis. That isn’t to say you can’t have one or two cups of coffee to perk you up, but tea will do a lot for you too. Read on to find out more:

Why Everyone Should Enjoy Tea on a Daily Basis

Speed Up Your Metabolism

If you want to lose weight, then it’s a fact that you need to speed up your metabolism. If you’ve wreaked havoc with your metabolism in the past, perhaps with different fad diets, then chances are you’ve slowed it down. This is because it doesn’t know when it’ll be fed again, so it doesn’t work as hard or as fast to burn energy. Of course, the main way to speed up your metabolism is through a healthy diet and exercise, but drinking tea can help too! Green tea is one of the best teas for this.

Fight Cancer and Other Diseases

As tea is full of antioxidants, it has been said to fight cancer and an array of other diseases. Studies have been done to prove that tea drinkers live longer and stay healthier in general than people who don’t drink tea. Just about any tea is great for fighting off disease, but I like chaga tea.

Get a Higher Quality of Sleep

Tea is also a fantastic way to drift off to sleep more naturally at bedtime. Forget sleeping pills and other lotions and potions, drink a cup of tea and you’ll instantly feel more sleepy. You’ll get a higher quality of sleep too. Chamomile tea is great for this.

Stay Focused

Because many teas have a small amount of caffeine, they can help you to stay focused through the day. Too much coffee can make you feel jittery, but tea doesn’t have as much caffeine, so you get a little buzz without the jitters.

De-stress

Had a hard day at work? A cup of tea can help you to de-stress. Forget that glass of calorific wine (which will also kill a few brain cells), drink a cup of calorie free tea and de-stress while enjoying many other health benefits.

Beat the Bloat

Our bodies all react differently to various foods. Some teas are great for helping to beat the bloat, as they have anti-inflammatory properties. Sip one after a meal to see if it helps!

Say Goodbye to Sad Looking Skin

Some teas are thought to help improve various skin conditions. If you have a skin condition like eczema, you might find drinking a cup of tea helps to calm it down and improve its appearance.

If you want to enjoy these benefits and more, become a tea drinker like me!
