Lose Those Last 10 Pounds of Weight: 5 Tips that say-Do not throw
in the towel as yet!
When you have considerable weight to lose, the pounds typically
come off faster at first. It’s those last ten pounds that are
usually the most stubborn to shed. Most dieters are thrilled to
have lost much weight. People start to comment on their new
slimmer appearance and they can finally get into smaller-sized
clothes. On the other hand, it’s easy to grow discouraged and
depressed over not seeing the scale budge week after week. It’s
then that too many dieters throw in the towel and give up
altogether. They mistakenly think they can abandon their weight
loss program and just try to lose weight on their own.

This type
of thinking can be dangerous as often the pounds creep right
back on their bodies. Sometimes they end up gaining more weight
than they lost. If you belong to this increasing tribe, here are
some tips to help you by the last haul.
1. Eat Regularly
Eat your breakfast on time and always. Skipping breakfast can stall
your metabolism and cause a weight loss plateau. Eat little and
often throughout the day. This helps to maintain your metabolic
rate at maximum speed. Also, it keeps your blood-sugar level
stable, which is helpful in reducing appetite build-up and food
cravings. Some surveys show that eating "little and often"
actually reduces appetite and calorie-intake.
2. Be Patient
The key to losing those last stubborn pounds is to be patient! When
you have very little weight to lose it is important to stick
very closely to your diet in order get results. Think in terms
of losing AT MOST 1-1.5 pound a week. This means following your
diet and exercise program carefully for 7-10 weeks. If you do
this, even the most stubborn final pounds of fat will disappear.
Voila! That is what we wanted!
3. Boost Your Daily Exercise
If you take regular exercise, increase your workout by 10-15
minutes each day AND change your workout routine. Changing the
type of exercise you do, or the duration, gives your metabolism
an extra boost and helps to burn extra calories.
4. Extreme exercising
Another way to remove that last bit of fat on the stomach and sides
is to get into kickboxing, MMA or grappling. HOWEVER, be careful
because it is a dangerous full contact sport and injuries are
frequent. Raising the legs above the waistline is a good method
and a necessary method for offensive and defensive kickboxing. I
read in a magazine that grappling is a good calorie consuming
activity and another was rock climbing. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, is
not only intense more of an anaerobic exercise. Many people are
brown belt or higher and still have some belly fat. In order to
lose that last bit of fat, you need to get into Muay Thai or
Kickboxing, which will add that cardio component.
5. Make Goals each day and keep a food diary
Recommit to your weight loss program. Pretend you’re starting over.
Crack out a new journal to record your food intake and think of
the last 10 pounds as the second phase of your weight loss
program. Even if you have to attend to the phone, stand up , do
some lunging exercises and walk around with the phone. Revise
your exercises daily. Innovate!
