You Need a Break! The Top Vacation Spots for Mom

As a mother, you wear many hats. You call yourself cook, cleaner, caretaker, driver, tutor, nurse and hundreds of other titles. They often recommend you keep your resume to one page, one and a half at most but yours would probably go out the door.

The Top Vacation Spots for Mom

In every facet of life, breaks are recommended. Whether it’s because you’ve been studying all night, working throughout the day or have just had tons of chores to do, there needs to be a time where you take a quick break to recharge your batteries. So many moms have a high amount of stress and even 72% stress about how stressed they are.

While you may get a 15 minute break at work, as a mom that break might only come after 15 weeks. You need more than a small break, you need a vacation!

Sit down with your partner and figure out a weekend or period where you can go somewhere with your girlfriends to relax and recharge. You might have some great ideas in mind already but if not, here are some ideas to help you narrow down a plan.

A Spa Weekend

While America is all baseball and apple pie, the classic girls weekend is heading to a spa. Nothing quite screams (whispers calmly?) “relax” quite like a spa. Look around your town to see what kind of weekend packages they offer or look to head out of state.

Do your best to reserve as far in advance as you can as these places tend to fill up quickly with not only locals but people who live in the area.

Hot Springs, Arkansas is a great example of a place perfect for a weekend long spa trip as you can stay at the resort and choose various treatments you want. Make sure to pamper yourself along the way, going for whatever kind of treatments you want. You definitely deserve it!

Hit the Beach

A beach can be just as relaxing as a spa weekend, although instead of hydro-jets and a massage it could be your feet in the sand and the sound of waves crashing onto the shore. There’s a reason so many people think of a calm beach when they want to calm themselves down.

Get together with your friends and rent a house for the weekend. From there, it can be anything you want. Tan on the beach all day, take a nap, have a few glasses of wine or take some great photos at sunset.

If there isn’t a beach near you, you can always look to see if there are any lake houses available for the weekend. You can still get your sun and look into renting a boat like those from Destin FL for a day or two.

A Night Out

If you’re looking for something a bit more exciting and loud, why not head out for a party weekend? You can’t even remember the last time you ordered something at a bar but that’s OK, it comes back with practice.

You want to do more than just head down to your local bar, so make a trip out of it. You can head to America’s new party city, Nashville, head out west or find something totally new and different. Lots of clubs and bars offer passes to big groups or you could find something different like renting out a pedal tavern.

You can couple the weekend with different activities, like tours or walking around. An RV rental Nashville will let you see the gorgeous campgrounds and sights around the city. Do some research before you head out to find the best restaurants and spots to hit.

Go International

While this may take more than a weekend, one can find plenty of airline tickets that fly directly to international locations. Some of the most popular destinations are found by heading south, either to Mexico or a wonderful Caribbean island.

Many people flock to Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Aruba or Jamaica for a quick vacation. These places are filled with white sands, blue water and plenty of different activities for everyone to participate in.

These destinations are well-accustomed to tourists and have plenty of resorts with various packages. The most difficult part will just be choosing where exactly you want to go. Just remember to make sure your passport is renewed and you’ve put a travel advisory on your credit card!
