Woven Ribbon Ring Pillow
Materials Needed:
From Duncan Crafts
Aleene'sŪ Platinum BondTM
Super Fabric Textile Adhesive
Miscellaneous
Cardboard covered with waxed paper
Fabric, 2 pieces 11 x 13 white
Polyester fiberfill
Ribbon: (5) assorted styles and widths of white
Straight pins
Trims: ribbon roses, bridal butterflies, white fringe for edges
Instructions:
For best results, please read all instructions before beginning
project. Refer to photo for color and design placement.
1. Mark 10 x 12 lines on cardboard for a guide. Cut and place
ribbons onto cardboard. Pin edges of ribbons on the 12 lengths.
Weave the 10 lengths through the 12 lengths. Place small amount
of adhesive onto edges of the ribbon to hold in place. Let dry.
2. To assemble pillow, glue the woven ribbon onto the right side
of one of the fabric pieces at edges. Place small amount of
adhesive on top of woven ribbon around edges, leaving a 5 area
free of glue for opening to stuff pillow. Place right side of
second piece of fabric on top of woven ribbon. Let dry. Optional:
Machine stitch. Turn inside out and fill with fiberfill. Glue
opening closed. Glue fringe to back of pillow at edge.
3. Glue and pin ribbon bow and ribbon roses, butterflies and
miscellaneous items into place at left corner. Tie rings to ribbon
strands. Let dry.
