Valentines
Potpourri Hearts Valentine
A Valentine that is as fragrant as all the sweetest smelling
flowers put together. Real potpourri adorns this Valentine making
it as unique as the special person in your life.
Materials Required:
Red colored card blank - 6" x 4"
Pink craft paper
2 Heart cutouts/dies - preferably in white/cream/pink or red color
Potpourri
Red Sketch Pen
Decorative Edged Scissors
Directions:
1. Cut pink craft paper with decorative edged scissors and glue
it to the card stock horizontally as seen in the picture.
2. Cover work area with old rags or newspapers to proceed to
the hearts. Use a brush to evenly smear a thick layer of craft
glue over the heart cutouts. Now quickly and deftly pour lots of
potpourri over the hearts taking care to use only the larger
flower petals (preferably pink or red rose petals) to cover most
of the surface. Once this is done, fill up the remaining gaps with
smaller buds and lavender etc.
3. Let the potpourri hearts dry completely before lifting them
to dust off any excess potpourri. After dusting off the excess, if
you see any more blank spots, fill them up now.
4. Stick the hearts in the center of the pink craft paper
rectangle.
5. Write 'Valentine' or your own message to complete the
sweetest smelling Valentine ever.
