Christmas Taffeta Wreath

This wreath was made from cardboard and taffeta remnants. Then I embellished it with a leftover bow and a candle ring. Any beginner at sewing can make this wreath so share the idea with your daughter, neice or grandaughter. A nice family project.

1. Trace dinner plate on piece of stiff cardboard.
2. Cut out middle to within 1" of outer edge. Now you have a ring.
3. Cut ring once to allow tube to fit over cardboard.
4. Cut 3 strips of green fabric (any green fabric will do) 7" wide by 40" long.
5. Sew strips together, making a very long tube.
6. Turn right side out and ease over cardboard ring.
7. After entire tube is gathered on the ring, re-join cardboard together with staples.
8. Adjust gathers and embellish.

Depending on the fabrics used, this wreath can be hung inside on a wall or outside on your door.
