Sunflower Cushions

Decorate your home for summer with these easy-to-make sunny accents for your bedroom or sofa.

Materials Needed:

Quarter yard brown felt
1 yard yellow felt/satin fabric
fiberfill
batting

Directions:

1. Cut two rounds from the brown felt – 8 inches in diameter.

2. Cut out petal shapes from yellow material. Also cut out petal shapes from batting. Keeping the wrong sides up and also a batting sew the petals all round keeping the flat end open for turning. Make all the petals in the same way. Turn them inside out.

3. Join the petals to one of the rounds first. Then place the second round on top and stitch – keeping open for turning.

4. Turn the flower inside out and stuff with fibre fill. Close the opening by overstitching.
