Fourth of July Draw-string Pouches

Give Fourth of July gifts and goodies in pretty draw-string pouches that are easy to make and go with the patriotic spirit all around. Easy stick-on stars embellish these pouches.

What you will need:

1/2 yd red and white striped fabric
1/2 yd. blue fabric
stick-on stars for embellishment

Makes: 2 pouches of 10" height

Directions:

x1. Two different types of pouches are shown here. Each uses one of the fabrics as the base fabric. Cut base fabric into 2 pcs. of 8"x12".

2. Stitch a 4" strip of fabric on the top, folding outwards.

3. Join on sides to form a pouch.

4. Put a string through the folded top. Pull the strings to close the pouch.

5. Embellish with stick-on stars.
