Fall Patchwork Pillow – Free Quilting Craft Project

Fall Patchwork Pillow - Easy Quilting ProjectThis quick, patchwork pillow can be done in minutes. It is surprising how a couple of small additions can make such a big difference in a room. I have done mine in fall colours, you will want to use colours to blend in with your decor.

Instructions:

Cut 9 6″ squares of fabric. Sew squares in 3 rows of 3 squares. Attach rows with 1/2″ seam allowance and straight stitch.

Hand or machine embroider seams to resemble crazy quilting. I did machine embroidery using 3-4 different stitch patterns. Cut backing fabric same size as top. Sew top to back, right sides together. Leave 6″ opening along one side. Turn and stuff pillow or use pillow form. Stitch opening closed. So simple and like I said, it is amazing how a couple of new pillows can make such a difference to the look of your room.
