Stretch Mark Removal Treatments
While having a baby is one of the best blessings that a woman can
receive, it can also leave you with unattractive stretch marks.
Stretch marks are actually tears in the middle layer of your
dermis. This middle position is what makes them so difficult to
improve with topical treatments. However, if you are looking for
tips for stretch market removal then you do have a few options.
1. Tummy Tuck
The most effective method for removing pregnancy related stretch
marks is an abdominoplasty, also referred to as a tummy tuck. In
this medical procedure the effected area of skin is surgically
removed. If the woman doesn’t plan on having any more children
then her abdominal wall muscles will be tightened with stitches.
The skin from the upper section of the abdomen is then pulled down
and sown to the skin over the pubic bone. This creates a flatter
tummy, and it generally removes most of the woman’s stretch marks.
However, it is not always possible to remove all the stretch
marks.
2. Laser Surgery
If you don’t want to go through a major surgical procedure to get
rid of your stretch marks then you can use laser surgery instead.
In this process a laser is used to encourage skin cells in the
middle layer of dermis to regenerate, grow, and develop new
tissues. The advantage of this process is that it is effective and
relatively non-evasive. However, it will take at least five or six
treatments to make a dramatic difference in the appearance of your
stretch marks, the process is expensive, and it is typically not
effective at treating old stretch marks that have already turned
silver or white.
3. Stretch Mark Creams
There are several creams on the market that claim to eliminate
stretch marks. However, as of today there are no creams that are
able to completely remove a stretch mark. Some creams are
effective at reducing the appearance of stretch marks, though. The
most effective creams will contain tretinoin, retin A, and Vitamin
E.
4. Microdermabrasion
Another option that women use for stretch mark reduction is
microdermabrasion. This is a process that resurfaces the skin
using small crystals to sand off the top layer of skin. This
process is not a stand alone process. For the best results you
will need to use it in conjunction with another stretch mark
refinement product or process.
5. Endermologie
The French have developed a processed for softening scars that
have been some what effective at treating stretch marks. This
process, called endermologie, uses rollers and suction to increase
circulation to the scared area. It also helps to remove toxins and
improve the elasticity of the scar tissues and connective tissues.
