Tips to Get Your Old Skool Husband Back into Fashion

Do you have an ‘old skool’ kind of husband who’s resistant to changes in the fashion industry? Does he avoid shopping at all costs, moan when you buy him something new, or wear the same clothes he’s had since 1991? If you answered yes to any of those questions, it’s time to get your old school husband back into fashion, lady. Oh, it’s doable…you’ll just need to remain vigilant. Here we go…

Make Him Read Fashion Magazines

It’s not impossible to make your husband read fashion magazines ladies. First of all, you could casually leave them open at a page he might be interested in (perhaps one with a nice looking lady involved), or you could show him something interesting you’ve read. He might end up so intrigued that he reads the rest of the magazine – accidentally cluing himself up on fashion in 2014. Shock horror! If that fails, you could literally sit next to him and force him to the read the magazine, but we’re not sure how well that will turn out.

Tell Him About Fashion Week

Fashion week, OH-EM-GEE, it’s AMAZE right? To us girls yes, but to men, not so much. That doesn’t mean you can’t casually mention fashion week to him in passing conversation. Who was wearing what, who was sat by who, who fell over on the catwalk, you know the score. Hopefully, by simply mentioning the word ‘fashion’ so many times, he’ll subconsciously make an effort to dress more fashionably. That’s if he bothers to listen to you. If you don’t think he does listen to you, mention something about Cara Delevingne having a lesbian relationship. His ears will perk up!

Show Him Pictures of Hunky Male Models

Clothed models, of course! Your hubby isn’t going to want to look at half naked male models, so don’t try that. Simply show him pictures of impeccably dressed male models, and see what he thinks. If he shows some interest, you could buy him a similar outfit to get him into dressing better. If he doesn’t show interest, you could always cry and say, ‘why don’t you dress like this, Dave?’ (if your hubby’s name is Dave). Only then will he understand the seriousness of the situation.

Make Him Watch Reality TV

That’s right, we want you to make him watch Towie, Big Brother, Made in Chelsea, Geordie Shore, and anything else reality TV based that will involve well kept males strutting around trying to pull ‘birds’. He might begin to look up to one of them, you never know! Let’s just hope he doesn’t go out trying to pull any birds.

Throw Away His Outdated Gear

You could simply throw away all of his outdated gear, leaving him with no choice but to buy more fashionable mens clothing. He probably won’t be very happy, but it might be a step you have to take.

Introduce Him to Gok Wan

Gok Wan knows everything about looking good in the right clothes, so stick him on the telly or make him read some of his advice. This way, he can learn more about making himself look great with the right clothing.

If you try hard enough, your old skool husband will soon be dressed to rival Joey Essex!
