Jewelry & Accessories - Spring Summer 2008 Fashion Trends

Jewelry

And when you’re looking to adorn your wrists with some bling, slim is once again in. Thin bracelets are just the thing to keep you trendy in your accessories but the key is to wear lots of them. Bangles, chain bracelets, and thin strings of jewels are sure to make your wrists just the thing for spring! Colour is the key this year and that shouldn’t stop at your accessories. Brightly coloured gems (even if they’re faux precious gems) can really set the tone and can also be used to add a splash of colour if you’re wearing solids.

The same theory of layering should also be applied to anything you will be wearing around your neck. But here you want to make sure that you stay within the same theme. Brightly coloured beads should be layered but make sure that you are only wearing beads. Keep the colours along the same lines and although bright is good this year, you want to make sure that the colours complement each other and that you’re not pairing simply for the sake of pairing. A bright blue beaded necklace will look terrific with a bright purple necklace, but pairing the blue with a bright orange would be a definite fashion don’t.
