How to Look Hot on Valentine’s Day Without Going Bubble-Gum
Pink
It’s Valentine’s Day and you’ve got big plans! This is the one
day a year when you get to be as schmaltzy as you want and no one
can say a word about it! Of course, you want everything to be
perfect including your hair, your date, and your clothes. But do
you need to wear all that pink? After all, you want to look sexy
and stylish, and that cotton candy look is just not your thing.
Well not to fear, there are many great styles that can be worn on
this day of love without feeling as though you’re actually made of
sugar. And there are stylish ways to wear pink too!
For Valentine’s Day, the most important thing is to stay ultra
feminine, fun, and flirty. If the date is taking place during
daytime hours, you can stay very casual. You can even get away
with wearing jeans just make sure that they are cute and feminine.
Darker coloured jeans are in this year and the skinny jean is
still around for those that can’t get enough of the look. Boot-cut
jeans are also very cute and can be paired with a small, short
boot.
These jeans can be paired with a flirty camisole. This doesn’t
have to be pink or red. In fact, a nice cream-coloured camisole
often looks terrific with dark jeans. Something lacy with small
flower detailing can be nice. Or just wear a plain camisole that
has lots of interest areas, such as a nice small bow with ribbon
trailing down the front can be a great way to dress really fun and
flirtatious. But seeing as how Valentine’s Day falls in the
winter, you will probably want to wear something over the
camisole. A shrug still looks terrific when paired with a
camisole. If you want to keep with the Valentine’s Day theme, a
red camisole will look totally hot with this outfit. But if you’re
determined not to give in to the commercialism of the holiday,
another colour that looks great on you will do the trick.
And speaking of pink, if you think you carry it off better than
any other color, go ahead and pick a flirty pink top. From baby
pink to hot fuchsia, you have more choices than you can possibly
count. A pink mini-dress or a smart pink sweater or shrug or even
a hot pink formal dress can make you dazzle.
Where would a girl be without her
handbag? Bring one but make
sure it’s just as cute as you’re outfit and pick out a special
one, not the one you always carry around. And lastly for a daytime
date, don’t wear heels. A nice pair of ballet-style shoes will be
especially stunning with this look or you can flashy, glittery
flats that will also do the trick!
A Valentine’s Day evening date requires you to be a bit more
formal. Putting a dress on is a must but it doesn’t need to be
pink or even red. Long, black dresses are always a classic but you
can also wear a shorter dress that has a cute print on it or is a
solid colour with lots of detailing.
You also have more freedom of choice when it comes to the
proper shoes for an evening date.
Heels are usually the preferred choice but if you prefer not
to wear heels, or if you are taller than your date, you may want
to choose a sophisticated pair of flats. Make sure the handbag is
elegant and keeps in theme with the rest of the dress.
